You'd think it was the Onion...
Alas, it's not:

The snake handlers are amateurs.
"Every luxury has a deep price. Every indulgence, a cosmic cost. Each fiber of pleasure you experience causes equivalent pain somewhere else. This is the first law of emodynamics [sic]. Joy can be neither created nor destroyed. The balance of happiness is constant.

Fact: Every time you eat a bite of cake, someone gets horsewhipped.

Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses.

Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder.

Vote "yes" on Proposition 1321. Think of some kids. Some kids."

I heard a story about a pastor getting his congregation to eat grass. Of course they got sick. Apparently now they're drinking petrol? I would think that if he led by example enough that he'd just die and maybe the congregation would be less stupid for it, but I'm not positive that would happen.

A pastor at a snake handling church died of snake poison. I'll give you a moment to get through the shocking surprise of that one. So his son decides to do the same thing.

There needs to be a stronger word for indoctrination and brainwashing. It just feels like those words aren't strong enough to describe people like this.

Is he telling them they'll go to hell if they don't eat grass and drink petrol? Surely it's not hard to figure out these are not mainstream christian ideas.

I'm not sure what he's telling them, but I know what force rules their lives and how it's used to indoctrinate, manipulate, and control him and them.

Killing the very people on whose donations you rely isn't that clever.

In all seriousness, this sort of thing needs to be strongly encouraged.

Even to the point of denying religious tax exemptions to supposedly Bible based congregations that don't practice it.
