Not my problem.
The Bible Christers are free to announce a revelation and scribe a new text should they find petrol, strychnine and radium unpalatable, otherwise they are stuck with what they have. They should be forced (and PROUD!!) to live (heh, heh) their professed faith, sincerely, for their recognition by the government.

This stupidity happens when the scriptures are taken literally, poisons mean worldly things, these are seen as poisoning to the soul. Handling vipers only means how we handle the so called poison ones who are sinners, if we are one with God, nothing can harm us, if the body is killed then it doesn't matter, because the body isn't our true self.

It can be very hard to tell what is meant literally, and what is meant metaphorically. You would think some things just shouldn't be taken literally, lest you die an early painful death. Unfortunately these kinds of people really don't care about this life. they're told not to care about this life, so why should they care if they die early?

My thoughts exactly.
If we can't attract them to atheism thru reason and logic, make them experience their religion to the fullest. If they fail to survive the experience that's tough shit.
It can serve as a lesson to the rest that believing stupid crap can be fatal.
