That's an understandable position and well thought one.
I might have a martyr complex, so I hate the like minded environment where people praise what I say. Got to keep my ego in check!

Now you're just attributing motives to wyzas because you want to be rude and edgy in your own way. Nothing like the pot calling the kettle black.
Yeah, anyone can have a bad day or moment. It isn't characteristic of him at all. I note that C_L easily accepted his apology. He doesn't celebrate it and he is usually the opposite of that.

O man, this place. It's tough to be here sometimes. But harder to leave. Tried to leave many times - I have tried!

Some avoid adversity and difference. Some seek it. Different strokes.

Then you are definitely in the wrong line of work. Perhaps something where you aren't allowed around other people would be better. The public would be grateful, I'm sure.

Oh, now we're mixing the two worlds?
You see, I've never been one to be precisely online as I am in real life. After all, the point of being online is to be free to express one's self in a way that cannot be expressed in real life.

Catholic_Lady your mistake is that you became their friend as in you really became their friend.
You got to be a friendly enemy like me!

No, I'm pretty sure that it's cookies which leads to the dark side.

Quote:I've seen numerous people here say they don't take our beliefs seriously enough to give it any sort of time for discussion - just immediate dismissal and scoff at best
That makes the usually incorrect assumption that we have immediately dismissed your position. We haven't. You aren't the first person to propose a religious discussion in most of our lives. We've had these discussions, and most of us gave them plenty of thought before dismissing them. We dismiss them when you say them because we've already been there, thought that, said that, heard that, etc. You take it as being immediately dismissed, and that is unfair. The longest threads here are atheists talking to theists about their beliefs. They go on and on and on. These people waste hours of their lives so people like you (for lack of a less forceful phrase, but with all respect) can ignore the efforts they've put in and single out only the people who've had enough on the topic. As for myself, I can't be bothered to discuss it anymore. That's not to say I've never discussed it or considered it. I just think, with a buttload of evidence, that your stance is wildly incorrect. There is no God. Would you prefer me to hop in those threads and tell you that all the time or just ignore those threads?
