That's true in general. But that particular saying in current usage isn't excessively mean, it just means annoying weeds are hard to kill. It can sometimes even be meant slightly affectionately.

I'm not going to risk and see what saying you'd use if I got under your skin :p

Dearest Violet will be gone for an nonspecific 'lengthy' span of time. She'll answer any texts/messages that she receives (but probably isn't going to be ruled by her phone any longer, so there may be some delay and staggered speech windows), but she really is not in the mood to be looking for them, and won't be anytime soon™ (mind that she hopes that those she regularly communicates with will not feel abandoned or otherwise alienated (but she secretly knows that it's going to happen anyways, and so she apologizes almost silently)). I will probably check her PMs here once a week or two on the odd unlikelihood that any of you should actually wish to speak with her.

Sayonara, maggots my groupies Skunk She'll be well taken care of, don't you be worrying now.

I shall miss you, Violet Sad
"Every luxury has a deep price. Every indulgence, a cosmic cost. Each fiber of pleasure you experience causes equivalent pain somewhere else. This is the first law of emodynamics [sic]. Joy can be neither created nor destroyed. The balance of happiness is constant.

Fact: Every time you eat a bite of cake, someone gets horsewhipped.

Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses.

Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder.

Vote "yes" on Proposition 1321. Think of some kids. Some kids."

RE: The Newly Departed thread: announcements
I wasn't sure if I should do this but I said I would so..

I think its time for me to go on a more permanent leave from here. After some thought it doesn't make much sense for me to hang around. The interest in joining in the discussion faded for me quite some time ago and it was the community here that I stayed for. Unfortunately over time most of the people I really knew here have either been banned in a blaze of 'glory' or faded away probably to never return. Those who have joined since are great but its hard not to feel like somethings missing when so many people have come and gone. Without those people it seems like my place here has faded too.

My regret is not getting to know those I got along with over the years outside this forum. That said my few years here have really meant a lot. The last few years have been pretty tough and having somewhere I felt a part of really helped.

If anyone wants to stay in touch the email on my profile works. Sorry if this whole thing seems a little dramatic but for the moment I don't have any plans of returning after I sign out tonight. Perhaps I'll change my mind and be back in a few months lurking around somewhere but for now that seems pretty unlikely.

Well, goodbye mate. Hope life treats you well.

What the fuck happened to Amalynne0?!?

She was only here for like a month, though, right?

I think the newness wore off and it wasn't as interesting for her. She was hot, though. And smart and funny.
