And that is why your god is a sexist douchebag.

It is sexist to say that they should get pregnant and their kids are what they should focus just because they can.

Is there a verse in your bible that says "Man will be saved through rearing children, if he continues in faith and love and holiness, with modesty" or something to that effect?

Quote:As a secularist, my view is that Christianity indeed deserves credit for giving women a more respected position in the Church than what was typically accepted in their culture.

Um, not really. Roman women did not have it so bad and by the first century AD were considerably better off than the xtian version of women's rights which was "STFU and do what you're told."

Social class determined quality of life to a much greater degree than sex.

Why do women have to look after kids and not men?
Why should they even be a baby making machine in the first place (be fruitful and multiply)

I didn't say a women needs to look after the children I said parents should look after their children, I didn't realise parent meant women in your mind.

Pre-Christian Celtic women seemed to have fared better than either Christians or most pagans. Continental as well as Irish Celtic females could own property in their own name, they maintained ownership of whatever they brought to the marriage, and could divorce an unsatisfactory husband without social stigma.

So what specific "household roles" do you subscribe to?

You know for some reason I haven't learnt how to memorise the entire Bible, what is wrong with saying parents should look after their children, because if the don't it is called child neglecting
