Peanut Gallery Commentary on the Staff Log of Bannings and such like.
RE: Peanut Gallery Commentary on the Staff Log of Bannings and such like.
I think we'd butter get bacon bananaing again.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I'm all for rules and necessary moderation, but not the aristocratic attitude of all too many site owners who rely entirely on their "peanut gallery" to provide content and the activity which keeps it alive. Why not just use the word "peasantry"?

You are aware that it wasn't the owner who set this thread up and chose to title it, yes?

Goodness, didn't mean to make anybody upset, nor was I really miffed at anyone - maybe I associated the sort of behavior which exists in other forum cultures (such as with Linux fans, who can get very ideological).
Mr. Hanky loves you!

For the record, I wasn't upset. I was responding to the way you sort of started with the assumption that the site owner set up the thread, chose to call it a peanut gallery and built from there a narrative to judge the motive behind it. If that wasn't your angle, then I apologise if I came across as harsh.

With me it was probably a militant feminist reaction...
