I’m sure everything will be fine for you. I’m happy we won’t be hearing more about this non-existent preferential treatment. If it holds up, I know I’ll find it’s easier to get along.

If it were for me you, Shell, thump would be looking at a 2 week vacation. It is not. Like I said before, we don't work on a single whim, if it did, there would be a striketrough your name, thump and Shell. Alas, this is not my site. I created the method we work.
The thread itself is a testimony on how much you care for this forum. It might not mean anything to you, but it does to me. This I say to Shell too. I made more than a sentence in that mrm thread. I hoped we could discuss stuff like adult human beings.
I can close a thread pending staff review. Bans? I need my peers. I designed this to avoid personal biases from staff decisions.
You are wailing before any action was taken. If ot were for me, yeah. But the staff is NOT me.

My "wailing" consisted of pointing out the indisputable fact that I indeed, kept my involvement in the thread completely civil after you issued the speedbump.
You had absolutely no reason to include me in your little sweep, LP. You were careless.
That is the truth.

Obviously I care about the site. My husband built it and enjoys it, and I care about him. I simply find it hard to ignore blatant falsities and insults, so I allowed Thump to evoke a “dickhead” out of me. It’s hardly enough to say I don’t care about the site. That’s hoggywashy. You’re still one of my faves, LP. It’s all good.

Oh, I haven't got the time or patience for this shit. I come here mainly for escape from the bullshittery of my woirld. Has this gone tits up as well? Thanks.
See you.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

People do that over AF all the time. People don't need to be babysit just because they threw a couple of insults . . . seems kind of ridiculous and like AF is being turned into a stupid ass safe space.
I think their decision was equitable and fair.

I don't. Our argument was making the thread a toothache to read for everyone else, and though I'd already decided to leave t be, I have to own the consequences of my actions. I amongst others was flinging insults and making posts that at times did nothing to advance the conversation. I certainly wasn't alone in that, but "she did it too" is no excuse.
It's one thread on one forum in the backwaters of the dubyas.
As for what AF is "about", meh. It's a privately owned site and anyone posting is subject to rules (though they are sometimes vague to the point of uselessness). It's "about" whatever the ownership wishes to provide, and nothing more.

Lol so much this.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
