So, is it responsible to try to convince people that they are delusional? Or, is it responsible to live and let live? The only problem I have with the live and let live idea is that there are people in authority with the delusion that make decisions for all of us, and others with the delusion lend votes and power to their name.

Here's the thing - the consideration of "what they need" is often impossible. You don't know for certain how they'd react - for all you know, convincing your roommate of actual atheism (not the "angry at god" variety she has probably been told about) might actually be better for her. On the other hand, you are not responsible for her or for what she needs. So, as a matter of course, I'd suggest live and let live - but if her beliefs start becoming inconvenient for you, blast them to hell.

I think that they think they need jesus. jesus is like a sugar pill, if you think it will help your brain makes you think you feel better.

the education system and all around they need a better governor because they have god delusional and some pretty slow and angry people here. and i know because i went to a christian high school, in reality it was a public one but they threw christian behind it. i avoided every single religious function they had and during graduation they asked me to say a few words oh boy i had a lot to say. "during these years here in Florida coming from up north and down here pass the mason dixon line. all of you have been kind and nice to me so i thank you. but you never once asked me or even bothered to say
to me why are you not doing any of the religious functions. then again you probably know and don't care your breaking the law about church and state separation. so i must leave here today and well i am and atheist, you are all delusional people who should get some help because this is the real world god doesn't exist good bye i'm not coming back ever."
