Many revolutions have been foisted upon nations by minorities; this was not very different. The main difference is that the clerics used the Tudeh Party to mobilize the people, and then when the revolution succeeded, they turned on the Tudehs because they were no longer needed. Kind of like what the Bolsheviks did to Kerensky and the Kadets in revolutionary Russia.

The Iranians I've known were friendly, tolerant of us Christians in their country, and against the Shah much more than for the mullahs. That doesn't really fit the American propaganda screed, I know.

Had an Iranian (he INSISTED he was Persian, BTW) in an adjacent dorm room in college. Friendly guy (and damned HOT HOT HOT!) never came across as religious at all, but was in the Iranian Student Brigade (or whatever they called it) and was really against the Shah and pro-revolution.

Don't have any inkling of what happened to him, and don't really know how to find out.

An Iranian friend of his lived in a boarding house with several other compatriots. I was there once, and didn't feel unsafe. Subsequent events (this was in the 70s after all) might have led me to be suspicious or concerned what might be happening there.

So what? His number are completely fabricated. If Muslims want Sharia Law - just for other Muslims and not non-Muslims - he doesn't even ask what interpretation of the Sharia they're wanting, he labels them all as radicalised extremists.

A Christian woman sentenced to death in Pakistan because the people she worked with refused her offer of water saying it would be unclean served by a non-muslim. She understandably took offence and she is now on death row. The judge at the sentencing apparently got a standing ovation.

What a bullshit. Did this guy ever visited the middle east ? or just talking shit ?

The majority of Muslims believe in nothing. I don't say they are "atheists", I say they "believe in literally nothing". Just to live, eat, breed & die. That's all they do.
And the culture of arabs (whom are considered the only muslims in the world according to many) dictates that honor worths killing for, social status & image worths ruining other peoples' lives, and above all : MONEY = LIFE. They would behead you if you touch their cash or their social status, they will kill you twice before doing so.

If Muslims believed in Islam, they wouldn't be filling the streets of Europe & America ; looking for a new opportunity to "brag about visiting the lands of blondes & white beautiful women".

People totally mix arab norms with Islamic teachings. Arabic culture is violent, the most bad actions you see around is caused by that. Throughout the ages arabs preserved that culture, and they would use any means to cover their bad habits : including the usage of religion..

I was bitten by arabs, and the venom wasn't islamic at all.

Then, how come egyptian youth smoke weed in the streets (publicly), prostitutes work publicly in places like "Haram St." in Giza, Bahrain -which is an islamic country- has prostitution licensee -heck they even have shemales there-, all this is public, known, and lots of the Saudies I knew had adultery & still do ?

The radicals you speak about only show up when the governments needs them. Either to fight a proxy war in Afghanistan, or iraq, or whatever..

The majority of muslims are nationalists who call their norms "Islam". Have you ever wondered how many versions of the Hijab is out there ? let alone : you have sunna & shia & suffies ? sunna themselves are categorized into salafies, wahhabies...etc ?? I told you..nationalistic norms which are thought to be "religion"..

I agree.

Where are the muslim leaders who preach peace? Is it that they are not highlighted by the media ,not popular enough in their community or that they are non existent ? Probably they are scared of the fanatical muslims.
Lets look at GOD as Rightful Action,Positive thinking, Living the moment, Compassion, Love, Nature, Family, Friends and all life around us. Such a GOD is not supernatural, but is as real as the feeling of being alive.
