This does not mean that it is unwise to have savings or even an emergency credit card, if justified, but it should not be our security or constant “go to” in times of trouble. If you can trust a credit card to be there for you when times are tough, you can trust God to help you establish an emergency fund as well.

Don't ask for welfare that didn't descend as coins from heaven.

Ask yourself this.

You put your trust in your deity but do you check both ways before crossing the road?

Why are you interrupting him while he is both making a fool of himself yet again and admiralty resolved upon a course towards indigence and hopefully extinction?

Except that a god has NEVER created an emergency fund for anyone -
Nor has your god ever donated a single dime to any church

And in fact - in the BIBLE - you are instructed to - in order to be saved - to give all your money to the POOR - not to a church

However - there is NOT a single quote of the christ in the bible that is anti-gay

There are quotes of the christ in the bible on how to treat your slaves though - and there are incredible quotes of the christ that are ANTI female
including the one in 1 Timothy 2 where he does not allow any woman to have any authority or power over a man - because it was "eve" who sinned - not Adam. Woman are supposed to be silent - and submissive to their men.

And note - I am not using the old testament - which you cherry pick from.

In the Old testament - which is actually part of the Bible - and HAD to have been the inerrant word of your god at one time even if you ignore it now - there are actually Instructions on how to "Properly" sell your daughter into slavery.!!!!

But the christ supposedly said

"It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." (Luke 16:17 NAB)

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place." (Matthew 5:17 NAB)

"All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness..." (2 Timothy 3:16 NAB)

“Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law" (John7:19) and “For the law was given by Moses,..." (John 1:17).

“...the scripture cannot be broken.” --Jesus Christ, John 10:35

YOU see - the BIBLE disagrees with those who say the old testament does not apply any longer

But for the same reasons why YOU reject the Old Testament - I can reject the new one - because it is Nonsense -and bitterness - and stupidity - not real.
