Heads up advice for atheists.

Just like with the things you're talking about... theology is not the appropriate tool. Likewise when considering a theological problem, science is an inappropriate tool. Unless you're some kind of unique individual that never considers meaning and belief, which is scientifically impossible, then you need to use rational processes that are not scientific. You yourself are disproof of your own claims.

Theology is not a tool at all. It is placebo, a comic book club. It is a distortion of our species natural behaviors and a reflection of our own desires. Calling theology a tool is like pretending a Kaleidoscope is a telescope. It is a placation of our egos and our fears and our ignorance of the reality that we are doing that.

Again, it is no different the placebo Egyptians created with their polytheism and were successful for 3,000 years centering their lives around a falsehood. Religion exists because of our species flawed perceptions.

Yes, it can.

Sorry, it can do that too.

No?

Why not?

It does.

I really hate that false argument. Humans partake in things other than science. Yes. It does not make atheists or scientists for that mater emotionless robots. What we are saying is that when you make claims about the nature of reality there is only one universal way to settle competing claims. We are not advocating being mindless borgs who should not feel love or enjoy art or sports. We simply do not assign anything in life to magic, or books of myth.

The Nile is a river in Africa. Denial is what you suffer from.

All people across all ages made similar observations. These are not falsehoods but truths worked out about the human condition. You should try thinking about it again some time Brian. Get over your blind prejudice. Because you'll find a rich source of accumulated wisdom. The danger in ignoring it is like ignoring science and thinking you know better.

You confuse mere "input" as being the same as testable and falsifiable data.

There are an infinite number of claims made by a diverse species and so the fuck what. You are not using a computer to type your argument on because Thor invented computers anymore than you exist because Allah is a real god who invented DNA.

Appeal to the popularity of noise and confusing it with fact by calling it "information" is absurd. Reading crap or hearing crap and having that crap be popular only constitutes transfer of communication. It does not constitute transfer of fact.

Testable and falsifiable data is in the next classroom down the hall Brian. This isn't science 101.

I'm gonna have to trade in for a bigger sledgehammer coz this one's just not up to the job.

Your claims are unsupportable Brian. Stop fighting dude. Not only is the war over. It never started.

Crap is what you're full of. Start talking sense and do us all a favour.

Yes they are in separate rooms I agree.. Room 101 reality is where science is. Room Kindergarten is not even in the same building.

This is something I've said for a long time. Beware of the theist that attempts to discredit atheism, or act as an apologist for theism, by discrediting science. Which is hilarious to me when someone does this. SCIENCE DOESN'T KNOW EVERYTHING! So what, blindly accepting a fairy tale written thousands of years ago is the logical alternative? HAHA. Here's the big difference, science doesn't claim to know everything, religion DOES. Religion claims to have an answer for every question the doubtful 'believer' might have. It's so silly that religion is even something that still exists in society. Like we shouldn't even be having this conversation right now.

We now have modern, scientific ways of discovering and understanding things. Religion is obsolete.
“Love is the only bow on Life’s dark cloud. It is the morning and the evening star. It shines upon the babe, and sheds its radiance on the quiet tomb. It is the mother of art, inspirer of poet, patriot and philosopher.

It is the air and light of every heart – builder of every home, kindler of every fire on every hearth. It was the first to dream of immortality. It fills the world with melody – for music is the voice of love.

Love is the magician, the enchanter, that changes worthless things to Joy, and makes royal kings and queens of common clay. It is the perfume of that wondrous flower, the heart, and without that sacred passion, that divine swoon, we are less than beasts; but with it, earth is heaven, and we are gods.” - Robert. G. Ingersoll

When people say "science does not claim to know everything" my usual response is either,
"No shit, that's why we have logic and the various fields of philosophy"
or
"Even so it does not permit you to make up bullshit"
