Yeah, believe it or not insomnia, hyposomnia & hypersomnia are all possible symptoms of narcolepsy as well as the hypnognic hallucinations. It rarely evidences as they portray it in movies & such.

Really? Huh. My sleep pattern (I use that term loosely) is so sporadic that I should probably have it professionally checked. Especially since it has negatively effected so many aspects of my life. I've pretty much been constrained to 3rd shift most of my adult life, and school was just hell because of it. I have to consider my unreliable sleep patterns even for something as simple as a friend asking to hang out or a family member asking for help:

"Hmm..geez, will I be able to wake up in time for that, or will I just be falling asleep then?" And this thought can apply to literally any of the 24 hours of any day.

Ha It's kind of sad to think I've gone 30 years without so much as having looked into it. I am an artist of sorts...many sorts, so I guess I just kind of ascribe it to the territory. Two positives: 1. I've written some killer songs, and 2. I've missed a lot of church.
