McCain is fully white and his birth certificate was subpoenaed to challenge his eligibility to be president. McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone, although some demobirthers claimed he wasn't born in the canal zone but in Panama itself. If you changed the circumstances so Obama was a republican...the whack jobs on the left would have had their own birther movement. The reason Obama's birth was challenged was because circumstances surrounding is birth and publications about him before he became a well known public figure presented an opportunity to be challenged and members of the opposition took it.

Obama's birth certificate was challenged not because he is black. Such a notion is silly. He was challenged on this issue because certain elements of his opposition would do everything in their power to challenge his credibility to be president. If circumstances were exactly the same except Obama was white, the birther movement would still have occurred with substantially the same vigor.

And yet McCain ran against Obama the very same year Obama's certificate was questioned. Cover your steps why don't ya, let's question both of the candidates so that it APPEARS as though we're being fair.

It's not hard to see that the McCain "birthers" came out right after the Obama "birthers".

The McCain birther movement gained traction the moment he was nominated...same as Obama's. McCain's birth certificate was produced much earlier than Obama's and McCain was not elected like Obama was so the Obama birther lasted much longer. Also there were promtional booklets published by the publishers of Obama's first book that claimed Obama was born in Kenya....which just added fuel to the birther movement against him.

The point is your claim that Obama only had his birth certificate challenged because he was black is absolutely ludicrous.

I haven't pointed to another countries poor. What the fuck are you talking about?

The truth is the standard of living of poor people is growing faster than the standard of living of rich people in this country. You people on the left would like us to believe the opposite is true just to suck up votes. Sorry I won't embrace your lies.....you will have to sell your deception to someone else.

This is complete lies at this point are you truly saying Obamas birth certificate controversy was not soley race based?

Secondly your so called economic argument is that electronic appliances are cheaper now then when they were invented because of what? Union busting, deregulation, of enviromentally harmful industry, deregulation of banks which led too the 2008 recession, cutting taxes so heavily we created the biggest deficit in our history, while declaring a major war. Which was also the first time in history a country didn't raise taxes during wartime. The myth of cutting taxes for the rich and everyone will benefit defies all logic even the somewhat old books that you base your voodoo economics or Reaganomics on is based on books that advocate for the government taking care of the poor through welfare food stamp environment regulation etc

If Obama's birth certificate controversy was based soley on race then the reason the democrats didn't embrace Herman Cain was because he was blacker than Obama....which is preposterous.

The notion Obama birth certificate controversy happened because he is black is absolutely moronic. It has no merit. Anyone who believes it is an idiot of the first class.

The democrats did not embrace Cain because they didn't like his ideology. The birthers attacked Obama eligibility because they don't like his ideology.

Its disgust with the ideology that motivates people in these movements....not skin color.

So what? If I agreed with you, which I do not. Then my argument would be that it is not fast enough. The charts have been clear over the past 30 years that the difference between the top and bottom has exploded and wages ratio wise have not kept pace with the top. The ratio you are advocating is still an untenable gap.

Stop lying, this is a race to the bottom. Corporate America looks at the sweat shop models of India and China, and either want to move more work over there, or when they cant they want to replicate it here.

If everyone had what they needed no one would be complaining. The same thing happens in other species. If a group of chimps is sharing and there is a balance there is little to no conflict. Humans are no different.

I never understood why you people on the left take the effectively racist position that brown people overseas are some how not entitled to "our" manufacturing jobs.

India and China in this context is an issue of boarders and economic model not race. You made that assumption.

We have liberal and conservative naturalized citizens from all over the world in America that vote for both parties here. YOU made it about race I am making it about economic models.

China's economic model is sweat shop controlled by one party. India has a caste system that although politically pluralistic is still class based. Both hurt workers.

I would want for any human no matter where they live to live with dignity.

I never understand why people on the right project every one of their bad qualities on the left.

The right has history as long as the existence of America in trying to put the wealthy white male on top of the heap by any means necessary. If you resist, you're a racist.

The right hates the fact that they can't use the law to discriminate against (or murder) homosexuals. They are being 'oppressed' by 'special interests' and 'the Gay Mafia'.

The right has a much-reduced capacity to force all Americans to conform to Christian beliefs. Those that have used the Constitution to stop their push for theocracy are 'infringing religious freedom'.

The right has always been an arm of the wealthy and comfortable, giving them the political means they need to exploit the working class, steal what they produce, and kick the poor like puppies in the street. Yet, "class warfare" only begins when someone resists.

You're just another right-wing shitpussy hypocrite living in a very flimsy glass house, in which you broke all the windows decades ago.

If the Dems are so great ( I vote mostly for the Dems) why this shift of power? There are a lot of reasons. There is a seesaw back and forth, The dems have power , then the Republicans, then Dems, you get the picture. Take heart you liberals in a few more elections the Dems will take over again, however if the Republicans do well in the next few years they might even take the White House, that's a bit scary if they end up with House, Senate and White House.

The Republicans fought very hard too get rid of the law stating the president must be naturally born in the USA. Schwarzenegger was going too run for president. Republicans thought they had a another dumb half retarded celebrity president like Reagan that would sign off on any policy they wanted, kinda like bush. Once Obama got elected the kkk or "the birthers" as you and fox noise calls them started demanding a birth certificate. So why did the Republicans fight so hard to get the immigrant law changed for their white Christian candidate, but used that same law too impeach a president who was legally born here just so you can inspire fear.in others by portraying Obama as a black foreign mulim Communist spy
