My parents.

My dad for his patience, virtue, and compassion.

My mom for her passion, vibrance, and endless love.

My big sister for her determination, sense of family and humor.

My little brother for his selflessness, exuberant personality, and limitless talent.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

RE: role models
When I was a kid, I was more into the idea of role models, but nowadays, I feel like I'm not completely sure who I want to emulate. My parents and I are at odds about the idea that "it takes a village" to raise a kid. As much as parents play a huge role, there are always outside influences, both in extended family, and out in the world.

I'm an iconoclast. You find someone buddha-like and you off them. Let god sort them out. Sorry, no role models need apply. (This may be related to my narcissism.)
