Theists say faith is a gift, a gift of knowing all but not entirely knowing it to be true but believing hard enough for it to be true. Let me word that better you have a gut feeling of a magical being in the sky but there isn't one your senses are saying no but your heart is screaming yes yes you are there but reality is saying no. If people had the ability to faith in there true desires the world would be a horrible place. Multiple gods would exist chaos would would be very normal on a daily basis. Gods would try to wipe out humanity would get through it. But in reality faith really has no power its just there not a gift but something to give us strength to get through hard times. Some put faith on god for a all loving being who is a dick. some put it certainly me on humanity were not doing so great now but hey we made it this far. But there are those who say you have no faith because you have no faith in god, jokes on them putting faith on something real is more productive in the long run.
