Lol. You sound like a 10 year old who got his popsicle taken away.

I love sports.
I used to play touch rugby (until I broke a finger), I surf, and I run.
I'll give almost any sport a try once - except cricket. I hate cricket.

I like watching cricket clips on the TV immensely. During my St. Maarten cruise, the T-20 WC was happening, I think, and ESPN Carib. had it on. Great to watch, but way, WAY, too much lingo.

I just can't get into cricket. Especially test matches. Five frigging days?

As Drama Queen commented, there are similarities to sports and religion.
There will be sports in Heaven along with other stuff people love to do.
It seems we were designed to overcome things and sports certainly fill the bill.
I gotta agree with you, Prof. My unwarranted passion for the Cleveland Browns, and my claim that "the Steelers suck", is about as close as I'll get to understanding a creationist making claims despite evidence to the contrary.

I think there is an underlying point hidden underneath the extremeism. Sports have a FUCKTON of money pumped into them; stadiums, contracts, advertising, advertising, advertising, did I mention the advertising? Professional athletes get paid absolute bank and are smothered with loads of undeserved adoration and attention. Sports is one of the many aspects the average layman indulges in to remain uneducated about the fundamental problems affecting society, an all too common symptom in our entertainment obsessed culture.
But to eradicate it entirely due to its hypercommericialized nature is absurd, just reduce its excesses.

That post is the closest I'll get to admitting the Steelers don't suck. I deny rings like a creationist denies the fossil record.
Speaking of the fossil record...

Exian, do we have a difference of opinions on teams in play here?
The "Ahem" got my attention.
How can any one team be favored?
Aren't they all the same?
There are lots of franchises out there.
How do you know which one is for you?
