You want brevity? Okay, let me sum up the entire Bible, the whole damn thing, in one word:

Love.

Quote:Deuteronomy 7:2 (King James Version)

2And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:

I have a word, too.

Bullshit.

Hmmm, gotta read that part in context when I get to it in the Bible. I highly doubt it means 'bullshit.'

Closer than 'love.'

Keep telling yourself that. You'll never understand the Bible looking at it that way, though. And you come off as extremely ignorant talking about things you don't understand.

Why the fuck would I want to "understand' your silly old book of fairy tales?

You seem to forget that I've already been through the whole xtian bullshit guilt trip and rejected it years ago.

The bible is a load of crap. Archaeology has trashed the OT in recent years. No patriarchs, no flood, no exodus, no moses, no conquest, no Davidic empire....

The only actual evidence we have from the first half of the first millenium is that the "Israelites" were Canaanites with a henotheistic society (Yahweh as the top god...not the only god). You need to read some books that do not tell you what you want to hear.

Start with Israel Finkelstein's "The Bible Unearthed."

Again, you don't understand, so your points are moot about the Bible.

No. You refuse to see reason.

You are not selling anything that I'm interested in buying. I have no use for superstition.

I believe in reality, I absolutely see reason and in fact it is reason which led me from atheism to Chrisianity.
