I think it's something like, not all Republicans are racists, but all racists are surely Republicans. Not exactly true, but it seems that way in the same fashion an atheist tends to be liberal.
That's a pretty good paraphrase of what Bill Maher said a couple of years ago.
Don't think I've come across a liberal racist so far.

There are 100 million people in this country who are or lean Republican (many of whom are not white), surely you don't think there are 100 million racists. Also why do people use the term racist to mean white racist. I doubt the black panthers, la raza and other minority racist groups vote Republican.
