I keep in mind evolution. Fascism can arise from any one aspect of society, not just religion.

Theocracy is simply one type of monopoly of wealth. Un is a party monopoly of wealth. Walmart is another monopoly of wealth. Islam is just as splintered as any other religion. The climate though is still controlled by a large enough minority with dark age thinking.

It is important to attack Islam yes. But our ability as a species long term to be cruel or compassionate is still in our species.

Huh what?

If anyone has a problem with me making the connection between religion and evolution, it says to me they have not read "The God Delusion" or "The New Atheism". And if they have they need to re read them.

ALL RELIGIONS in our species history are humans gap filling. Dawkin's moth mistaking the light bulb for moonlight.

I did not say in all this is was not important to go after Islam, it is important. But it is still a moment in time and history will repeat in the future regardless if we fail as a species to see what is really going on.

I just..you have a tendency to go off on somewhat random, tangential responses to short posts... it's a bit hard to follow.

No.

I had the same confusion you say you have in this, when I was in school. At the beginning of the semester the teacher would give an overall view. Once you take the class the dots are connected.

There is nothing humans do that is not connected to evolution. The labels humans invent are artificial constructs that are used to set up groups and social order.

Giving you that long term picture allows you a better way to deconstruct the short term problems so that they do not become long term problems.

What you apply to Islam now is important because it can apply to a future where another group could become abusive.

What is your problem? Seriously?

Humans are not made up of religion, we are not made up of political parties, we are not made up of economic views. We are made up of DNA. Our labels are not physically us. They are merely positions we hold. In the act of communicating, those sound waves, and or other media pass those ideas on in a very real physical sense.

If you are not going to see that connection you are certainly going to fail to understand what I am saying.

It took someone to make the claim of Allah in the first place. That person or group then had to PHYSICALLY write those words down in a book. It took others to read those words due to a physical book, the light to read it and the physical eyes for light to bounce of the pages into their eyes. It took someone to then turn around and verbalize what they physically read. Without material to communicate those ideas you would not be able to spread those ideas.

Just like what you read here took me to take physical action in order for you to read.
