As far as I'm concerned, the "better" christian you are, the worse you are as a person. I have observed this trend to be very accurate throughout my life. Pretty simple really, the more shit that you take seriously in the bible, the more horrible shit you do.
The bible has always repulsed me. It's so hard to read, too. It's crazy that people will follow a book that was written thousands of years ago, too. Times are so much different now.

Yes, it is liberating. I have just grown tired of being preached at and told I'm prayed for by Christians. I don't tell them to change but I really don't like their company any more. I am a pretty polite person most of the time. I believe to each their own. I guess I'm really glad to be an atheist and here at this site among those who really understand things.
