Reaching out to Cuba
Many think this is a mistake but I think it is a great idea. If anyone disagrees I would like to hear your opinions.

That link was in my signature which I always have, it does not have anything to do with my question.

Well, I was always annoyed that I couldn't get a Cuban Cohiba when visiting Florida. So I'm all for it.

I thinkits great cuba has been asking for normal trade with USA for years Obama has seen past this countries racist anticommunist and bigoted views towards the largest island in the carribean. Former USA president's compared Castro to the abaraham Lincoln of the west Indies.

But insane McCarthyist policies deemed Cuba an enemy. Lets not fortgetthe hundreds of assisination attempts against the Castro brothers the years of abusive economic sanctions simply because they disagree with European imperialism. They've suffered enough folks its time too let them have normal banking and trading freedom.

Some say however that this is the Castro bros submitting to European capitalistic colonialism.

Personally I disagree the 50 years of social revolution and the accomplishments they've made are astounding and if they can resist USA oligarchs from turning their country into another 3rd world toxic waste dump

For all these years, then they can resist Havana from turning into another plutocratic shithole like London Paris Tokyo or Jew york

Just wondering why they still have all those old cars from the 50s.

Couldn't Brezhnev have shipped a few Trabies there back in the 70s ??? WTF ??

The soviets did send cars too Cuba, only about 1/3rd of their cars are American cars from the fifties ("Yank tanks")

Many cars were imported from the Soviets and more recently China but they're for public use only, meaning the government buys them for the country and then decides who gets them ususally it would be the higher ups in the Cuban Communist party. The cars aren't technically your property you need special permission from the government too even sell your car.

In fact police officers will stop cars on the street and order drivers too give rides too hitchhikers they actually have designated hitchhiking stops like bus stops. Since the car is not your property you have too give them a ride ususally for a small fee.

These days almost every Yank tank has Soviet replacement parts.

Right.... because obama totally hasn't signed to renew the trade embargo with cuba multiple times.
