I've had conversations with a couple of friends of color on this issue. The first guy knows Stevie Wonder, he says. He called me "Stevie Wonder" a couple of times (I'm not really that wonderful, and I can provide references). Most of you know my name is Steven. Now more of you do, for what that is worth. I asked how bad his blindness is, and he isn't stone blind, but has serious visual impairment. Second friend, I mentioned that I'd like to be more like Stevie Wonder, when he commented on me whistling a tune by him. He said, "What, you want to be blind?". I told him what my other friend said, and further said, "I wish I had that man's talent! I'd have hot and cold running women!". [/sexist pig] I can whistle a tune, and when people hear it, comment on how it's right on key. But to compose a tune? I'm toast.
