Atheism, Scientific Atheism and Antitheism

RE: Atheism, Scientific Atheism and Antitheism
Absence of belief usually refers to religion, especially here on an atheist forum.

An agnostic can say that we can't know if there is a god or not.
An agnostic atheist as you call it is really an atheist. The situation is that he don't need to ask himself if god exist or not because he don t need it.

If you ask me if i believe in god i will answer you : Believe in what ?

I don t have to answer to a question that have no sense.

The idea that the question makes no sense has its own name, one I identify with myself. It's called ignosticsim. I agree, no sensible question has been put forward, ever. I made a whole topic on this to prove my point, and the point stood as far as I'm concerned. No testable "god" claim has ever been made, outside of stupid things like, "Mr car is God." God has not been defined in any meaningful way, relevant to anything other than philosophy and the imagination.

Note that the -gnostic part refers to what you claim to know, the -theist part refers to what you believe. They are answering two different questions. In the case of ignosticim, the atheist part is weird because you don't know what it is you're meant to believing/not believing in. Just that it's horse shit.

@robvalue ignosticism is a new word for me.
In one way it traduce the feeling i have with the word god.
I tried to argue a lot with christian to make them understand that atheism isn't to believe to no god. Atheism isn't a faith.
The only way to avoid their concepts is to let some words away.
God is a concept. Invisible Pink Unicorn is a concept too.

Then you don't have to be antitheist.
If God is the answer to your question, it means that you have asked the wrong question.
A good question always ask how never why.
