The very liberal Zen are very .....human and down to earth. Mainly in Japan only, priests get married and stuff.

I am to understand that "Zen finds you not you it."

Might have another look at Zen Buddhism. I does have alot going for it... if one can stay away from people and their power plays.

yeah something like that. They dont force it, many don't do extreme practices or ceremony or ritual. Many of the older Zen stories portray Zen master just taking their time going through the day doing normal stuff. Witty, can be a jerk but really compassionate. Drinking alcohol and smoking stuff while meditate. Lol I dont know.

Give it a try...is there an early morning televised Tai Chi class you can watch?? Perhaps youtube some exercises...(*thinks that this may be a good idea for Kichi ) Anyway don't dismiss it out of hand...have a look

Bound to find one or two moves you can use to get you stretching. Personally I like the "Tibetan Breath Exercise" and have been very lax over the past year...now I have difficulty touching the floor!

My thoughts on Buddhism are very few and far in between. I have little to no problems with it, but I don't really see much validity in it.

I would see Lack of validity as a irredeemably damning problem for any system of belief, or in this case, make belief.

I came across an article on Theravada Buddhism, now I did not spend enough time with Theravada buddhism to say much but they are quite interesting. An article said that ordained monks was trained and teach to not accept any teachings either from sutras or from teachers unless it agrees with logic and reasoning

If the bit about logic and reasoning is not just a smoke screen, then one might expect that 2000 years of repetitive injunction to logic and reason would have produced at leadt a few luminaries amongst Buddhists who would have advanced the craft of logic and reasoning in a way perceptible to those outside the echo chamber of mumbling chants that seem to characterize Buddhism.
