Clearly, wifi can reach the router and the router can reach the outside world.
Considering wifi's maximum reach, in open field, is about 600 meters, I suggest you head towards the router! Wink
But keep your phone with you.

I found the door an hour ago, and it's weird. Not that this whole damn thing hasn't been weird enough. The knob turned just like it should, but I don't know. The latch doesn't turn with the knob. There's some give when I rattle the thing in its frame. Also, the knob seems unusually warm to the touch. There's no light coming from inside.

Been hunkered down here ever since. I don't know what it is. I think I can bash the door in if I try hard enough. $500 a month gets you doors made basically of really thick paper.

I just have this fear that I'm going to find my own dashed hopes behind it.
