Notice the part that says that the Manufacturer is not responsible for the defect. I'd like to rephrase what this other Christian wrote. I am a Christian myself, but not of the same persuasion as the individual you quoted. I happen to be LDS. My understanding is as follows: According to LDS doctrine, we, all of us are eternal beings; meaning we had no beginning... we always existed but in a different state. This original state in which we existed is referred to in LDS parlance as an intelligence. This is an identifier and a property. This intelligence was not created by God, and it had agency but limited capacity. God offered us an opportunity to improve our condition and to progress. We accepted and He made us His spirit children. In this state we progressed further until the time came for us to take the next step... mortality, and again, we agreed. From our original state, we have always had agency, and the choices we make (and it should be admitted that some of our choices are bad) are what are responsible for our "defects". If God had indeed created us out of nothing, He would be responsible. We then could only do what we were created to do. But that is not the case. So, as the other Christian said, Jesus Christ offered to pay the penalty for our "defects" on condition of repentance. The choice is and always has been ours. Where the other Christian and I differ, is that apparently he believes that God did create us. God did endow us with spirits and provided a way for us to gain physical bodies, but our essence, our identity... that part of us that makes us who we are, was never created, it just was... eternally. It is a similar situation to that of matter which can neither be created nor destroyed; it can only change state. God did not create the universe ex-nihilo, but rather He organized the elements that have always existed eternally.
I really don't think the bible supports that kind of idea, and it sounds like you're trying to put even more blame on Humans for what went wrong than the bible already does. Because your precious god isn't allowed to be responsible for anything bad to happen.
If Yahweh didn't create us, and we always existed, he has even less of a right to judge us than before.

Well that's what you get for going to a Christian forum.

KUSA's quote in the OP referenced 'knee mail'. Fine.
Until baseball season starts I will spend every Sunday patrolling churches waiting for congregations to empty. I will simply go up to random members and plant my knee in their crotch. As they writhe in pain with a WTF expression on their face, I will simply inform the devout that I was Jesus' way of returning 'knee mail'.
Really. So this means God is either incompetent for the job he randomly assigned himself, or else he willfully failed to do it properly. Either way, still not interested in worshipping such an idiotic God even if I thought he existed.
