But in any case, it speaks volumes about Western naivety if not stupidity to not see the signs on the horizon. Everyone creamed their pants over the Arabian spring and that it was about to consume the Assad regime too. Western nations even conducted air strikes in favor of the insurgents without knowing or caring who they actually are.
It's the same moron's game since the Soviets invaded Afghanistan. Back then the West at least helped in the creation of Bin Laden, the Taliban and Al Quaeda. They never do know or care about the long term consequences of their actions.
