I look women in the eyes, afterwards. Sometimes I even ask them their name :p

But seriously yeah, this is ridiculous. I get the feeling that even among "moderate" Muslims there is a fair amount of sexism going on. Is that a fair assessment? The Quran makes even the Bible look feminist.

Many years ago I tried to read the Quran but gave up in disgust when I came to a verse about disobedient wives. The husband could admonish them, send them to another bed and BEAT THEM!

Well of course "moderate" Muslims very cleverly interpret that bit to mean The husband could admonish them, send them to another bed and BEAT THEM! be a bit sexist, but not that bad.
