Welp. There goes any point of rational discussion.

While it may not have been Dubya, there was certainly a religious impulsion from someone in the DoD. I wonder if that same intelligence analysts who complied these briefings also gave advice in the run-up to the war? Or was it Rumsfeld who directed that Biblical quotes be used to cover DoD briefing reports?

Thanks, I didn't know. This is completely fucked.

It is typical of religious institutions I'm afraid. Be it Catholics or Muslims, it is always someone elses fault and not their own. This is what winds me up a great deal to be honest. It is similar to Palestine. The muslims always play the victims. The Catholics always play the victims. Why can't they just stand up and hold their hands up and apologise. It might just make the world a better place. However, the silence from the "moderate muslims", is quite deafening to say the least.

Only if you're actually deaf. Their organisations always condemn terrorist attacks. It just doesn't make the same juicy headlines as the actual attacks.

If 9/11 had been an inside job, they'd have "discovered" Iraqi passports and marching orders from Saddam Hussein himself.

Rule #1 in a false flag operation: Pin the blame on the one you want to attack.

W Bush had no interest in Osama Bin Laden. He had no concern over Afghanistan. He wanted to attack Iraq right away but couldn't find any evidence connecting Saddam to 9/11.

So he put the minimum effort into Afghanistan and launched a P/R campaign to drum up support for attacking Saddam.

For me, it's enough of a conspiracy that W Bush and Cheney responded to 9/11 by taking full advantage of a nation shocked by these attacks and then lied us into a war that they knew had nothing to do with it.

I believe you are wrong. Lay out your evidence.

Actually, moderate Muslims regularly denounce atrocities, as you'd know if you actually looked for such information. However, mainstream media doesn't find "Muslims denounce attack" nearly as sexy as "Muslims commit attack" -- probably because fear sells more than concordance; terrorism sells more than integration.

Never mind the fact that you're asking people who do not agree with extremists to apologize for them. Have you apologized for Stalin? I'm told he was an atheist, like us.

Looks like a double-standard, to me.

According to RationalWiki's entry on Islamophobia you are an Islamophobe if you agree with some (or any) of the following:

maybe the better question is; "Are you a phobe?" Fear is this crazy-hungry parasite looking for something to latch on to. I doesn't discriminate because it seems everyone is afraid of something or someone...and the list of fears is as long as the list of objects that exist. Is it possible to eliminate fear from one's thoughts/reactions/emotions?

Some personal notes:

- I oppose Holocaust denial laws but I can understand the historical need for France and Germany to promulgate those laws - Indeed, people are still afraid and all over Europe intelligence services are always watching to see how much the Neo-nazi far-right groups develop and grow. The ideal would be for everyone to freely be able to deny the Holocaust and consequently others would be free to ridicule such claim
- I think free speech means that you are free to criticize and ridicule ideas, beliefs and faith systems - Including religion. I agree that free speech being used to incite or suggest racial hatred and prejudice should be either frowned upon or banned and punishable with a fine or a low prison sentence. This includes Jews like said in the video but also blacks, whites and any other racial group
- If we exclude the persecution of Jews by the catholic church, which was mostly based on religious hatred for Judaism, most anti-Semitism (including Hitler's and contemporary National-Socialist groups) is based on ethnic, racial and cultural hatred - The hate for Jews has mostly nothing to do with religion but with conspiracy theories about people born Jewish controlling the world and owning the economy. Regardless of what you think of race and ethnicity, there are thousands of ethnic groups on earth, each with its own traditions, habits and physical distinguishable traits - People who hate Jews want them to die for being born Jewish, regardless of their affiliation with the religion of Judaism.
- The banned anti-Semitic cartoon from Charlie Hebdo wasn't banned for ridiculing Judaism but because it suggested cultural and ethno-racial profiling and dislike towards Jewish people.
- I think any comic that racially profiles Muslims as "arabs" and "brown" should not be allowed just like any other racially biased form of incitement to hate and prejudice
- That being said, most satires about Islam are not about arabs and races but about criticizing ideas and belief systems
- Charlie Hebdo has been criticized by the Catholic church and they've ridiculed Christianity as well - To think they like to pick on Muslims is ridiculous.

The day free speech ridiculising religions went when they got rid of Spitting Image in the United Kingdom. As for charlie Hebdo, it picked on anyone and everyone, regardless of race, creed, religion or gender. It is not Charlies fault that Muslims have no sense of humour. Remember, there was a time when Christians were the same, however, over a period of time, Christians evolved with a sense of humour and today, there are Christians, Catholics and Jews who criticise their own religion through humour. Muslims need to get a sense of humour check because they are centuries behind the rest.
