We definitely haven't had enough Händel in this thread! I really like Giulio Cesare.
The production is slightly strange in this one, but I have a weak spot for Andreas Scholl, and the rest of the cast is excellent

*Maybe* you'd like this then, it is a bit more dramatic at times, but with the absolutely beautiful violin parts remind me of the Saint Saens piece... maybe because it's also partly set to a waltz like 3/4 or 6/4 or something.
Unless it's the somewhat mysterious and dark aspect of the Sait Saens you like about it Jesus does Gergiev always look like shit
