How is this a thing?
March 19, 2015 at 6:50 pm
I swear this isn't from Cracked, Dorkly or The Onion:
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

First thought: oh! That's a cute idea!
Second thought: crap. I hate Adam Sandler.
Third thought: This looks like it was fun to make.
Fourth thought: Tyrion Lannister???

Well, hoping the movie is as cute as the trailer.

This is a thing because (to mangle a quote) no one ever went broke underestimating the cupidity of the film industry.

No, that's Dennis Bugger-If-I-Can-Remember-His-Last-Name. He's one of that character actors you see so often that he comes up in conversations like, 'You know who I mean; the guy. The guy who was in that thing with that other guy and what's-her-name.'

It does actually look quite good. Relatively original, in a year filled with sequels and remakes. It just made me think of something CollegeHumor might do, like this:
or:

It's Adam Sandler, so it will be shit.
He is to film-making as Ebola is to healthcare.

It's the latest Adam Sandler/Kevin James/David Spade/Chris Rock venture. Meh. It'll be as bad as "Grown Ups" but more nostalgic.
I'll begrudgingly watch it when it's on HBO.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Wiping me arse with cyanide-infused steel wool might be fun as well, but that's something I've no desire to experience on the off chance that it'll be a joy.
I feel the same way about Adam Sandler films.
