As someone who has compassion for people in difficult circumstances, I also feel bad for paedophiles who control their urges. Given that many individuals have a wide range of sexual orientation and behaviour, it's possible that some people have paedophilic urges amongst others. In those cases, it may be possible to channel/supress harmful urges by satisfying others. Otherwise I can't think of an outlet, other than private therapy, where these urges might be expressed, intellectually, without suffering profound harm. BTW, thanks for the corrections re. podophilia, people. Peeve updated.
