Killing the Hypothetical
#41
RE: Killing the Hypothetical
From what I've heard, there isn't really a safe place to shoot someone. Blast a major artery in a limb, if you can even hit the arm or leg, and they could out anyway. Most people can't 360 no-scope it, and have to go for the torso, which has the majority of your vital organs in it.

Could you kill someone with a firearm?

My answer, which is not included in your poll: How would I know? So I didn't vote, since your poll doesn't make any sense for anyone not having been in that kind of situation.

The poll doesn't make any sense for anyone not having been in that kind of situation????

That's why the name of the thread is hypothetical.  I wasn't asking people what they know they would do - I was asking them what they think they would do.  Obviously, it's impossible to know for sure for most all of us.  Unless you've been in the military or had some sort of hostage situation, no one knows for sure.  Everyone here is hypothesizing and qualifying their answer how they see fit.

If you don't wish to hypothesize, that's perfectly acceptable, but try to understand what a hypothetical is before you go on about how something doesn't make sense.

I'm Portuguese and I'm not legally allowed to own firearms unless I'm a police officer, military personnel, intelligence services or someone with a life-risk job.
That being said I would gladly kill someone who posed a threat to me. And I wouldn't need a firearm - But if I had one I would use it.

If a Christian gets his hands on this he will use it as proof that atheists are immoral bastards.

Most christians are gun-toting 'Murricans'
Their god has no problem killing people and rather approves of his sheep doing it regularly.   Undecided

Killing in the name of their god is pretty much what the OT is about.
