Christianity and Masturbation
So Masturbation is wrong in Christianity right?  Well kinda sorta, but it begs the question of why would a God care about where we touch ourselves in the privacy of our own homes anyway.

Well that's reassuring to know ;-)
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Not all denominations agree on the topic nor is the prohibition a major essential doctrine. It all depends on how you interpret the story of Onan spilling his seed and whether masturbation was considered part of 'pornea'. The pleasure derived from the sexual organs serves to both motivate men and women to join in productive unions and to strengthen the marital bond. According to natural law, masturbation is considered an abuse of the natural function of the genetalia, since it is not conducive to either.
