Christianity and Masturbation

RE: Christianity and Masturbation
It has health benefits, and is one of the best feeling things outside sex itsself. There's no good reason not to. Even if you want to be a good christian, just join the sect that centers around having sex with Jesus.

As I read your prescription for prostate health I am reminded of the song from Blazing Saddles "I'm not a wabbit!".

Assuming you're straight, pro tip:

European porn stars are more attractive than American porn stars, on average.  Too many American girls have had too much work done.

Give it a try. It feels like  Angel

That would be a waste of time for me.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Actually, I don't and never have masturbated.

Jesus doesn't like it when you lie. I'm sure he doesn't like it when you rub one off either.

A simple online search will tell you that Christians do not all agree on this subject.  Nor did any of the sites I looked at use the Genesis verse (38:9) to support their opinion, which is a case of someone having sex, not masturbating.  The specific act is coitus interruptus, and in Genesis 38:9, it was done to avoid impregnating his [dead] brother's wife, as he did not want to produce children for his brother.  See:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?se...ersion=KJV

(You can select alternate translations at that site.)

So it really has nothing to do with masturbation, and many Christians are sensible enough to see that.  Some were sensible enough to observe the fact that the Bible does not mention masturbation, and so their opinions on the subject involve making inferences from other things that are stated.

"A wise man ... proportions his belief to the evidence."
