It could also refer to the convenience or inconvenience of religious ideas. What I dig about your name is that it reminds me of Larry Underwood in The Stand from Stephen King. Underwood was the musician whose hit single was taking off just as the epidemic hit. The album which had the single was named Pocket Saviour.

I am a musician. The majority of my training is in guitar. Naturally, I have spent years learning how gear works and how to get the best possible sound (subjective to me of course) out the gear that I continue to buy and sell. Why the buying and selling? My quest for "truth" or tone, hence my name tone chaser. I've been through more gear then I have bowls of cereal. But I will say that my current setup has pretty much stayed the same for about a year. I'm proud of that! Haha and my wife is happy that I've spent less money! The 77 just proves that I'm a middle aged sentient being. 1977 was my birth year.

It's simple.
I'm a minister in the Universal Life Church (which, in all honesty, is pretty much an ordination mill that, to be fair, does allow one to legally perform marriages), and The Catcher in The Rye is one of my favourite books.

I become somewhat of a tone chaser later in life with my acoustic guitars, but that only entails new strings and shaping my nails just right.
I've noticed that it can go two ways: a person either buys an endless carousel of gear, and talks a big game, but never leans to play, or they're prodigious freaks with amazing sound. The former is more common in my experience.
But I'm not challenging you or anything

Lol I am very adequate player at best. I've always been told otherwise but I don't believe everything I hear....which being on this forum is obviously proof of.

Haha Same. People always think I'm better than I am, but what do they know.
On the tone chasing, gear head thing; I always find myself in conversations with aspiring guitarists who will start spouting numbers and letters at me. I only know what they're talking about when they finish it with things like Marahall or Mesa Boogie, or whatever. People are always disappointed when they find out I don't know crap about guitar gear. I usually just go "Oh! Cool!" Lol
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:

C'mon tone.
Now we all insist on a YouTube of you doing some Al di meola or some other funky santana from his "oneness" album!
