I always see Alex K pop up on FB as a contributor to some science page...I think... I can't really remember what the page is, but I always wonder if its you.

I'm not cool either.  Jenny A is just my name.  It's short for Jennifer Armitage although if you really want, you can shorten it to Jenny Atheist.  But that is just a small part of who I am.  Jenny A will do just fine.

Most of us are trying to be anonymous.  It has nothing to do with being "cool."

Mine should be obvious, to anyone who knows how to use a search engine.  But, I will explain it anyway.  Pyrrho was a skeptic:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrrho

My skepticism is really more like David Hume's, but if I used "David Hume," some people would probably believe that it was my real name.  Also, since Pyrrho wrote nothing, one will not as easily get confused about who wrote something with the sentence, "Pyrrho wrote...", whereas if I had chosen the name "David Hume," there could be confusion about who is meant with, "David Hume wrote...."  And "Pyrrho" is a more interesting name anyway.

I used the name originally on another site, some years ago, just to convey the attitude of skepticism, and I rather like the name.  But I have used other names on some sites.  Sometimes, someone else has already selected "Pyrrho," and so I cannot have it on those sites.  (Here is how you should decide if it is me or not.  If the person wrote brilliant things, you should believe it is me, and if the person wrote foolish things, you should believe it is someone else.  If it is a bit of each, someone hacked my account.)

Yeah, I know.  I don't really care.  I am what I am here and in person. I post artwork here occasionally that can be traced right back to my website, so I'm findable.

I think of this when I see the name "Alex."  The "K" can be thought of as just another attempt at confusing us about which Englishman he is, as his last name changes in the movie (see previous link) and isn't given in the book at all, I think.

I had a character in a Star Trek role-playing game named Alex Freeman who was often involved in time travel. That's where AF and TT come from. The number 47 is a joke among the writers of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Stat Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager. They put the number or results of mathematical operations on everywhere throughout those three series. Combining all that is my username. It's useful because it is almost guaranteed to be available everywhere.

What, me say something obnoxious or stupid?  No, that was some jerk who posts online, not me!

Hmph, here I thought it was some mixture of Atheist Forums, The Thinking Atheist, and Agent 47. The 4 also being the A for TTA. I tried.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

I'm not asking you to come out.  And I certainly say stupid things online and in person from time to time.  But most people on Facebook and Googleplus are themselves.  I don't find here to be much different.  I don't think of my atheism as a wart to hide.
