Doesn't that reference judging other believers? If you continue on a couple verses, it refers to those who don't follow Jesus as dogs and pigs.

Love thy neighbor meant love your neighbor in your community of believers. The neighbors being referenced were fellow believers. The Bible is pretty descriptive on what happened to non-neighbors.

You're immature, and your life is meaningless according to your own beliefs. You believe you are nothing more than time, chance, and chemical reactions. You have no meaning and no hope, therefore, you seek out meaning by trying to feel as if you know something more than others, or that you have the canny ability to disprove an argument.

Your book isn't all bad, sometimes it's got some nice little gems. Like this one;

I pity you, simply because I've been where you are. I contemplated suicide when I was an atheist, because I simply couldn't escape the fact that deep down, I felt life was utterly cruel, meaningless, and empty.

 

Take your pity elsewhere. I don't need it, and I certainly don't need it from someone who couldn't handle cold, hard, reality. 

Atheists often scoff, "My life has meaning. I love my friends, spouse, kids, etc." That's a delusion. You are all nothing but chemical reactions. You'll die and quickly fade away from the mind of the world. You know this is true. Does that sit well with you?

Everyone has to deal with mortality, and I refuse to deal with mine by seeking refuge in a haze of delusional bullshit. Comfort is not a requisite of the truth. 

I believe in God. I'm not going to bore you with the details of my conversion, because your intent is clearly only to puff up yourself with pride (one of the worst sins), and to feel like a know-it-all. A wise man once said this: "A true Christian testimony is worth a library full of arguments."

Let's see what your bible has to say about personal testimony; 

Matthew 5:14-16

"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven."

Now other than proselytizing sects of Christianity, most Christians I've spoken to interpret this verse to mean that you're supposed to let others see Christ through you. Do you know what I see True Believer? I see a contemptuous, egotistical, little troll who has come here to do nothing more than bite his thumb at a group of people he knows nothing about. 

I know that when I found the truth, it changed my life. I know that I have peace. I know that I have meaning and a creator. I don't have to waste my time trying to mock others, create goofy avatars, or show my immaturity and pride. I've got a life, and I like to help others in my spare time to find the truth that I've discovered myself.

So your purpose here wasn't to mock others? Bullshit. Just pure, unadulterated, bullshit. What does the bible say about lying TB?

Does atheism liberate you? From what? From meaning? From purpose? Or liberate you to sin? For what? Does sin not bring about death? Does sin not cause misery and pain?

Oooh, fast-draw questions. Cool beans. 

Indeed. From religious foolishness. I find my own meanings. I don't require a deity to be good to others. Sin is made up nonsense. 

Does atheism liberate you to think freely? Do you think Christians, before their conversion, didn't also think and ponder all religions and possibilities? If I find truth, what more is there to search? If I discover the answer to an equation, why keep working on it? It is solved.

Who says these Christians, or these other religious folk for that matter, found "the truth"?

The mystery of this life is solved for me, and my daily walk with God proves it. I seek nothing more. I have peace. I have a life. I have purpose.

Good for you mate, as for myself; I don't buy the bullshit your religion is selling, and guess what? I have peace, life and purpose of my own.

An interesting side effect of a meaningless existence, is the non-meaning applies to logic. People can live irrational lives based on whatever beliefs they want, and it doesn't really matter as long as they don't mind. The theist mindset of truth mattering doesn't really apply to atheists.

It creates interesting situations. One of the earlier quirks I realized, was that a religious person is invested heavily in atheists. Souls on the line, living the right way, blah blah blah. But as an atheist, the whole discussion becomes a big ole pile of who cares. It's fun for the mental stretching, I suppose. But there's no real difference between arguing with a Theist and playing Chinese Checkers. It's just something to do.

I also realize it doesn't matter if Atheists who profess to be fans of science and logic have some half-assed rationale for their belief system. Because it's no different than religion, in that it doesn't really matter. There is no Logical > not Logical. There is no hypocritical > not hypocritical. It's a complete 'whatever floats your boat' situation. You want to tell yourself life's precious if it's human or a select number of other animals, dumb as shit in my mind, but thinking dumb shit is in 0 ways inferior to someone with a complete understanding of the universe outside of the desires of the individual.

To conclude, and true believer probably won't ever come here again, so this is just out loud talking, it's the difference between Soccer and Calvinball. Theists have rules they think everyone should play by. Atheists can make whatever they want up, including the belief that they have rules that everybody has to play by.

That's sort of an interesting dynamic, that a theistic life is a subset of an atheistic existence, in that originally, an atheist made up a god and a shitload of rules, and decided that was truth. That's perfectly fine inside the rules of an atheistic existence. Pretending or convincing yourself there is a God is in no way dependent on the existence of a God.

I find a similar relationship with Libertarians and Dictators. Generic libertarian idea says "people can do what they want." Dictator says "What I want to do is oppress a bunch of people." Based on a libertarian existence, his oppressing people makes sense. Just like it makes sense the people will probably want to oppress him by not letting him oppress people like he wants.
