The last primary was quite entertaining. I was working as a tour boat captain at the time and I would get these British tourists who were just utterly dumbfounded by what they were hearing on the news.

But alas, the sheeple of 'Murrica are going to listen to the ever growing list of "scandals" the Hillary has embroiled herself in, and the race will be close.
I just hope Bernie plays his role and pulls Hillary far enough left (which is towards the center) to appeal to the broadest base.

The problem here, of course, is that even if Clinton gets pulled towards the center by Sanders, she's going to revert back to her conservadem ways after the primaries (and after inauguration, if she's elected).
Now, I think I might like her as president better than any of the clown car crowd, but I'd prefer someone less hawkish and more progressive.

Clinton won't be pulled towards the center by Sanders. Sanders can't defeat Clinton during the primaries, and his reputation with broader electorate is such that it would pay dividends during the national election for clinton To be seen distancing herself from sanders during the primaries.

It's not how many holes they blow in their own foot that matters. It's how many missteps they force upon the winner of the primary.

I disagree. He is going to be loud about no brainer left issues like campaign finance reform, climate change, sensible gun control, and legislative reform. Issues that Hillary would rather not comment on lest she offend a wallet. But these no brainer issues that the VAST majority of the electorate are aligned on would not be discussed at all if it weren't for people like Bernie Sanders. And forcing Hillary to answer questions that have obvious answers which pander to the electorate rather than the money will be a good thing.

The dickhead quota should be just about filled on May 27.

Speaking of santorum . . .

Sanders will get attention, make no mistake, but he won't get the nomination, because the money will not follow him. Democratic money will flow to Clinton because she represents moneyed interests.
I'm glad he's running, even though I wouldn't vote for him myself. It's good to have a wider spectrum of candidates. But as a recent thread here showed, even free-thinkers often prefer to pick winners rather than vote their conscience.
Chuck's analysis is spot-on.

My birthday. I guess I would consider it a present if the frothy one jumps on the crazy train. He's the biggest kook of them all.
