God's not going to make me the father of a nation, the work is now finished, it was finished at the cross. A plan that took 4000 years to develop and the result , billions of Christians.

Instead of a deflection, a moral person would have immediately answered the hypothetical by telling God to go fuck himself.

This is one of those questions the religious generally just won't answer, because both answers demonstrate the ridiculousness of their position. Saying god wouldn't do it is feeble, because he did do it at least twice in the bible. On one of those occasions, they went through with it, they killed and burned their own daughter as part of a bargain with god.

There is only one religious theist I've ever seen answer this question directly, and that is Huggy. He said no, and for that I give him credit both for making a stand and having the balls to answer the question.

I'd happily answer any hypothetical question anyone put to me, no matter how impossible or contrived, to the best of my ability. I'm confident my worldview is solid. It's very telling that you don't have to go far with some religious theists before they stop being able to do the same.

Most of them are totally ignorant about their favorite ethnocentric Middle Eastern religious fairy tale.  Heck, 99.9999999999999999999999% of them don't even know the real Ten Commandments.  They just go with the BS edition.

I happened to see this as I was responding to SBC or it wouldn't have gotten answered. I will say this for the 100th time I do not deal in speculations and what ifs, they have no use in my life, they are a waste of time, there is no reality to them. As far as I'm concerned they belong to children living their young lives.
There's a simple answer to your question God wouldn't do that, it is tempting me to sin and God says He does not tempt man, end of answer and no what ifs needed. Have a good weekend, I probably want be back on till Monday.

And, it's not like it's an hypothetical "What if?" scenario either, god has done this, according to the bible. So, it should have been answered honestly, but what else is new...I'm happy to answer it. If a god asked me to do something like that, or somehow, I genuinely thought that a god asked me to do that, I simply wouldn't. "You have the capabilities asshole, you go ahead and do it yourself! You need humans to do your dirty work for you? Fuck you."
