Bill O Still Thinks Hip-Hop is Responsible for Decline in Christianity
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/20...u-are.html

Quote:“The rap industry, for example, often glorifies depraved behavior, and that sinks into the minds of some young people—the group that is most likely to reject religion,” he said, adding, “Also, many movies and TV shows promote non-traditional values. If you are a person of faith, then the media generally thinks you are a loon.”

Quote:In 1966, famed evangelist Billy Graham bemoaned the decline of Christianity amongst the youth of America and England and believed that the embrace of the relative hedonism of rock music was the result of young people seeking something that they no longer associated with faith.

Quote: Contrary to what O’Reilly seems to believe, hip-hop has actually been one of the most unapologetically religious genres of popular music over the past 35 years. Run-D.M.C.’s “Down With the King”—a group fronted by a minister, Rev. Run—was pretty blatant in its religious overtones. 2Pac’s songs, from “Lord Knows” to “Blasphemy,” were full of Christian imagery

Quote: There are countless examples of pop, rock, country, R&B, and hip-hop embracing faith and religion on various levels.

O'Reilly.. not too bright.

I'm sure the next mass shooting in America will be because of violent video games again. And they'll ignore the fact that Japan has the most violent movies, video games, and anime on the planet and their murder rate is easily the top 10 lowest on the planet.
Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.' -Isaac Asimov-

But...but...the tide comes in and the tides go out...You can't explain that!

What desperate nonsense. Sounds like a toddler who isn't getting his way.

The christer churches mostly abrogating their Biblical mandated prohibitions against divorce/remarriage  OBVIOUSLY
is the problem, but that inconvenient truth does not fit the christer narrative these days.  So we see special pleadings, blame the punks, blame the goths, blame the queers, blame the government but for GOD's sake, do NOT blame the church, even if they did FUCK the FUCK UP.

Looks like Bill has really spinned up this time, what a fucktard maroon.

What wouldn't he blame black people for?
“The larger the group, the more toxic, the more of your beauty as an individual you have to surrender for the sake of group thought. And when you suspend your individual beauty you also give up a lot of your humanity. You will do things in the name of a group that you would never do on your own. Injuring, hurting, killing, drinking are all part of it, because you've lost your identity, because you now owe your allegiance to this thing that's bigger than you are and that controls you.”  - George Carlin

Some rapper was on Real Time with Bill Maher last night and made the point that O'Reilly was more full of shit than an out house.

I always thought decline of Christianity has a lot to do with Jesus, to say nothing of his hangers on, was simply being too stupid and yokelish for the 21st century. Humanity progress, after all.

Those hangers on have mutated His Word 40,000 times and scripture cherry pickers ignore everything they find inconvenient in His Word, I don't see how hip hoppers have much to do with that. Bill has ANOTHER marriage on the rocks, why can't he generate a little introspection and connect the dots?

The moral decay and religious rot is entirely an internal problem.
