I guess I should introduce myself

RE: I guess I should introduce myself
Welcome! Is there another Cunningham running around these parts?

But you got way luckier than my wife and I did.  The first one didn't sleep through the night until he was 1 1/2. The second one is now 11/2, and he's only slept through the night once, which was six months ago.  He still gets up 4 to 5 times a night regularly, and sometimes he just wakes up at 3:30 and won't go back to sleep.  So far we've had a total of thirty-six months(non-consecutively) of a baby not sleeping through the night.

So, what is the lesson that we are supposed to take from this?  Are you saying that every man should get a vasectomy immediately?

The lesson to learn is to put a good amount of time between the first child and the second. Then you get the vasectomy.

They become the best brothers when their ages are close... 2 to 3 years is good.
The difficulty some find with sleeping at night often comes due to them sleeping during the day.
The second one can become easier, because you'll have an extra hand to help a bit (the older brother)... On the other hand, he may get jealous, making things complicated.

In the end, their personalities will define how they behave. Good luck!
