Greetings,
I believe I had an account on here years ago, and was active for a few days, something like Twiggy95 or Twiggy1995. However I am unable to log into that, or even find them when searching for users here, and I was only able to recover this until today, unused account.
So, I am currently a 31 year old man, life-long atheist, Church of Satan Member, and practicing Satanist.
Though I am Canadian, I have a lot of respect for the late Madalyn Murray O'hair, and even David Silverman. However I do think modern day "American Atheists" have lost their way unfortunately, and I think Madalyn would not be pleased, to say the least.
Even though I was sent to the provincial catholic school system, went to church on Sundays until I was in my late teen's, and was raised in the heavily catholic Polish culture, I never believed, and was openly atheist since I was 12, and I guess was always atheist since I was old enough to understand what religion is and not believe in it, I only learnt what "atheist"/ism meant when I was 12.
I learnt about satanism through watching a documentary on my favorite artist, Marilyn Manson, from what I heard it intrigued me, so I went and learned more, bought and read the satanic bible, and found myself agreeing with it. Long story short, it's about being your own god, living for yourself, and your own life, taking responsibility of oneself and all that, living life to the fullest, etc. No supernatural or spiritual garbage, and it accepts man's true animal nature. You cannot be a satanist without first being an atheist, Theism is a deal-breaker for Satanism.
In 2017 I experienced the tragic death of my dog, when she was ran over, and last year in March the freak accidental death (tractor accident) of my father, in fact we did the internment of his ashes at the cemetery yesterday. None of these experiences change my view, none of them made me think there is an afterlife, or think irrationally, in fact they had the opposite effect, solidifying for me that shit is truly random, and its all up to chance, I don't even know if something like that could happen to me tomorrow? likely, not, but the chance is greater then 0.
