Lion park in SA

Lion park in SA
Having tea tonight watching the news and one story was an American visitor to a South African lion park was eaten by a lion because she had her window down.
It went on to say that the lion was not killed but relocated to another park.

My first reaction was "not another Catholic lion", but then I thought maybe they're in training because the church wants to open up the Colosseum again?
Who knows, either way, South Africa now has a drive through "American" takeaway.

My apologies if this unlucky lady is related to anyone here...

Yeah, I saw that news story too. From the video shown and what other visitors had remarked, there are clearly marked signs before you enter and as you enter the park to keep your doors shut and locked and your windows up. As much as it is horrific, I will have to say give this woman a Darwin Award. The signs were in plain English, she should have known better. No sympathy from me here.

I feel bad for her family and, of course, no one deserves to die such a horrible death but why would you keep your window down in a park where lions roam?

According to this report, she was in the car with a tour operator. They both had their windows down and were taking photos. Other cars honked to warn them.

Quote:The notice warning guests to keep their windows closed was found on the passenger side seat of the vehicle of the woman who was killed, the source close to the investigation said.

As many times as I see visitors to my tiny little nature preserve ignore signs and rules requiring them to stay on trail and other safety measures, it doesn't surprise me at all.

Maybe she didn't want the glass obscuring the shot. Quite a risk to take, apparently.

Good video to watch, if you want to know how common the Jesus story really is.
