Interview with a Jovo

To be fair, from the OP it sounds like the Sunday requirement only came up during the interview, after which she balked.  If that's the case, I can't blame her for applying, and the OP's employer should modify the posted job requirements to reflect that particular one.

Wouldn't it rattle your faith in God a bit that he sits around doing his nails while you fail to get work because you're following his rules?

I'm sure he'll give someone cancer in 30 years as retribution or something.

If you can't meet the general requirements that a business has for every other employee, you shouldn't get the job.  Dress codes and schedules are big things for the majority of businesses.

Edit: clarification

So what about JW's not allowing homosexuals to get baptized? Isn't this just a general requirement of the religion?

I guess it is, sure. When did I ever express a problem with religions practicing as they see fit? I don't agree with them, but it's not my place to tell them how to do things.

I am not sure, I just remember discussing a bit of the topic around it. At least we found something we agree on Wink

Drich, Does it have to be a big "popular" recognised religion which the laws can make unfair allowances for you, compared to person next to you who is willing to work on Sunday.
What if I my personal "pink unicorn" tell me I can only work on Wednesdays. Are you ok with that? Or do you think I'm being childish, silly and stupid.
Please understand that that is exactly how we see your "flavour" of magic man. They're all equally stupid and false. You can't talk them into existence. We know you've tried.
No God, No fear.
