What is/are your God(s)?

RE: What is/are your God(s)?
Helping others always brings happiness to me,I love science and philosophy so I think knowledge has been my greatest driving force in life,I always wanted to make this world a better place for all of us,a place full of love without any hate

there is a part of me that wants fame and money,i want to be famous but i don't think that's ever gonna happen

sometimes when i am down and things are going bad i feel like a nihilist and i feel that nothing I do is of any significance and i want to be dead but then i realize that there are people who need me and i have to carry on for my family

What is/are your God(s)?
The only thing in my life that I consider a God is my penis. I think everyone should worship it.

Thanks for your posts, will come in handy for the discussion group I'm headed to. I apologize for using the "G" word if it offended any of you, it was not intended to offend.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

Offended? Nah, don't worry I don't think anyone is going to be "triggered" by the G word.

Now if you say Broccoli howe- Oh God I did it to myself, now I have to vent on Tumblr again.

Boiled broccoli is indeed the Smegma of Satan, but microwave some in water and I'll eat that shit all day long Tongue

Offended? Don't be silly. I leave being offended by words to the puritans.

So how would you phrase your question without the G word?
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

A better phrase would probably be:
What stirs your soul?

(Just fucking kidding!) settle down....

For my wife and I, it is going to the casino, as gold members we get free alcohol all night, ashtrays next to every machine. Satisfying 3 vices at the same time. (Gambling, drinking, smoking).
And when we're winning, it's heaven.....

What else to do?
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.

"Gods" imply worship. While there are many things I enjoy, to say I worship them would be to give them a level of majesty they couldn't possibly deserve. (Sole exception: my sweet little Princess who I miss more than anything.)

Incidentally, "God" - capital "G" - implies the character from the magic storybooks; and I certainly don't worship figments of other people's imaginations, especially psychotic ones.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Good question. I was glad that most said they did not have one. Other words......, how about obsession, addiction, delusional beliefs affecting behavior, themselves. Would have changed the question from "what are" to "do you have".

RE: What is/are your God(s)?
When I think of a God, I think of the traditional christian God.

Because I learned that everything was controlled by it, I often wondered why it wasn't listening to me or why sometimes the best situation did not unfold.

I have since realized that If I want to change my circumstance or ask why something happened I look to myself and take responsibility for any and all things.  Not having to worry if sky daddy is pissed at me is very freeing.  To answer your OP I would say I have no Gods (thank gawd  Wink)
