Linking the date of a quote to the post itself would make replying directly to the original quote easier when you don't want to reply to someone's reply of a post. This feature would also make Threaded Mode more accurate...

For example, sometimes Frodo posts, then Dotard responds to that post, then Adrian hasn't read the whole thread but happens to read Dotards reply to Frodo's post and wants to respond to Frodo so he clicks 'reply' on Dotards post, but he deletes everything Dotard said because what Dotard said was irrelevant to Adrian's response to Frodo's post. The inaccuracy in Threaded Mode is still there because Adrian's post to Frodo will be shown as a post to Dotard when all Adrian truly wanted was to respond to Frodo but was too lazy to go digging for Frodo's original post.

To solve this problem 'manually' one could go through the threaded mode and find Frodo's original post, but that probably takes 1 minute and that's a lot of time.

* Another way the problem could be solved is if there was an option to quickly view the branch that a post belongs to on a thread.

Sweet. If there's anything better than a good feature suggestion, it's one that already exists
