Tourist massacre in Tunesia

RE: Tourist massacre in Tunesia
I maintain the same standpoint I held when the Bush idiocy ran rampant back in 2003. Know thy enemy is always better than any Gung Ho approach. So it's better to look at what they're doing and not taking them for fools. They're fanatics, but they aren't idiots. They have a strategy and todays targets give a very good impression of what this strategy involves. Destabilization of functioning muslim countries and an attack on a US facility, which is - seen from their point of view - an obvious target.

It also points to the fact that their support within the muslim world is rather limited. Otherwise there would be no need for attacks there. So it's better to use brains instead of brawns when it comes to these attacks.

The only way people can be peaceful is if they refuse to acknowledge many of the things the Quran tells them to do, in the same way the Christians no longer kill suspected witches or keep slaves. It's great that many people want to be respectful of others but that's a sign that people are better than their deity. Most people are not as intolerant as the religious books read.

Introduce Christianity to parts of Africa and the converts invoke it to burn witches again.   It is best to throw bible and Quran out al together.

True, but it's not always due to an Arbahamic religion that people living in Africa will kill suspected witches. Many of the original African religion are very superstitious. By the way, did you know that Saudi Arabia has a "Magic Police"? Search "magic police Saudi Arabia" and you'll find loads of quirky articles and news stories.

So let's break this down. One attack on a Shiite mosque in Kuwait, one on a resort in a functioning muslim country and one in Lyon, where the only victim is the employer of the perpetrator. Given the circumstances, I would say, the jury is still out, if the last one really was a terrorist attack and not just a simple case of vengeance.

You obviously missed the part where an ISIS flag was found at the scene in France, Islamic writing all over the decapitated head and the second gunman that escaped.

Is the news slow in America or something? It's like you yanks are behind on this story?

Oh, and the functioning 'muslim' country is incorrect. Tunisia has a secular government. Probably one of the main reasons it was targeted.
