I think I agree with you about them not having votes, I just have some niggling doubts about I can't quite pin down. We need voting reformation in England anyhow, pretty much no one's votes count at the moment.

The only doubt I really have is for people who are wrongly convicted. But in such cases you don't exactly get your time back anyway, I don't see it as too big a deal if they didn't get to vote in any particular political poll.
