I'm happy to help Christians stay pissed off. Big Grin
You can do that too. You can tell them you're a sodomite, even if you're not. Either way to them "atheist" and "sodomite" are all the same evil, so they wouldn't know you're straight unless you told them. Wink

The trouble is, everyone with gaydar knows I am not gay.  I don't know how gaydar works, but some people are really good at telling other's sexuality from very little interaction with them.  That, too, is a superpower that many gay people often seem to have that I lack.  But some straight people seem to have gaydar also.

I suppose, though, that I can tell them I am gay anyway, which will upset them even if they are not so sure they believe me.  I might have to try it out.  Thanks for the suggestion!

I don't believe in that gaydar thing. I'm bisexual but no one could tell what my sexuality is unless I told them. Rolleyes

RE: Meh.
Supposedly, there have been studies indicating that gaydar is real:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaydar

Note the links at the bottom of the article if you are interested in the specific studies discussed.  I am sure that there are other things online about this issue.

I know that when I look at people, I typically don't think about their sexual orientation at all, and if someone asks me to make a guess about someone, I typically have a very hard time guessing.  But some other people seem to be able to guess with some degree of accuracy.  Of course, it is doubtful if anyone would always guess right.  But I have not bothered with reading the studies, as it is of little importance to me.  I don't care at all if a man I meet is gay or straight, as I have no sexual interest in him regardless, and in the case of women, since I am happily married and plan on staying that way, there is only a theoretical interest.  But even with women, what would matter is whether they are interested in me or not, not why one in particular is not interested in me.  So I don't need to distinguish between gay and straight for women either.

RE: Meh.
I've got a gaydar that's pretty accurate.
The only time it doesn't work properly is if the person doesn't talk gay, or dress gay or walk gay.

Many years ago, a gay friend told me that he had a pretty refined sense of picking out homsexuals. He told me that in an office where he worked, there was one fella that, on the face of it, acted like a stereotypical heterosexual. Even to the point of him making gay jokes and acting like the macho straight guy. Anyway, short story was, after an office night out, my friend ended up shagging the bloke. He reckoned he knew all along he had a chance, despite the bravado.

Well, it was meant in a joking tone, but if you meant something more than what you said, it's lost on me.

Not really.
I'm new here

By the way, posters, I see what you inadvertently did there. Very smart. So your defense is there are gay people, therefore my premise is wrong.
Allright, fair enough. Still, if you think about it, it's pretty much a useless activity. It wastes your time, it gets you addicted, it may even waste your money, it definitely wastes your energy, it could waste your self-esteem really... There's much to say about sex that is not so sexy.

Anyway, this is my point. We, as humans, still have many more problems to deal with until we can just say, fuck it, I'm done, I deserve to spend all of my time with a hedonistic outlook. We still die for one(everyone does that), we still lie a lot(mostly Christians), we still suffer(trolls and spammers definitely do), and so on.
So maybe instead of having sex, one might open a biology book and discover the cure for cancer one day or something? Or learn economics and help some future kid in Africa lead a good life? Just a thought.

I'm very confused!

For me, reproduction has always been a very unwanted side effect, not the purpose. Luckily it never happened and now never will (unless my tubes untie themselves!)

I decided very early on in life I didn't want no freaky little versions of me hanging around. One is enough. I have to listen to myself all fricking day! At least you guys can take a break whenever you want.
